I am Gemini.
Roll on this essential oil blend to envelop your body and senses in the energy of Gemini.
Gemini is known as “Mercury’s airy twins,” and ancient myths use the Twins to tell tales of the division between day and night, Earth and sky, and the struggle between good and evil.
In mythology, The Twins are Castor and Pollux, the sons of Leda. Castor was mortal, the son of Leda’s husband, and Pollux was immortal, the son of Zeus. This is why Gemini is sometimes said to have “two personalities.”
Geminis are often sociable, charismatic, charming, and with quick minds. Associated with Mercury, the planet of communication and understanding, Geminis are often good in a crowd—clear and engaging speakers with an empathetic or understanding quality. They are also fun, witty, spontaneous, and easy-going, and their enthusiasm is infectious! Who doesn’t want to spend time exploring with a Gemini?
Naturally curious, Gemini may move from one interest to the next, exploring new careers, homes, and relationships. Their curiosity and desire to explore broad interests may also lead them to take on too many commitments at once. Trying to hold up too much at once may become taxing, leaving Gemini with mental stresses and worries. For many, these stresses manifest physically, meaning they find themselves restless and unable to switch off to relax or sleep.
Clever and sharp with minds that like to be entertained, Geminis tend to spend lots of time in their minds enquiring. They don’t like mundane tasks and prefer to explore and keep it interesting. This is a boon unless the time they spend in their heads becomes out-of-balance. A preoccupation with cares and worries may come at the expense of Gemini’s body. So we remind Gemini to nourish themselves, to feed themselves with wellness and kindness, and to spend time exercising and moving their bodies in nature. When they do, they thrive.
About the Oils
Gemini’s signature oil, found in this blend, is lavender. Lavender eases us into relaxation while also focusing our minds—offering alertness. It can do both because its power is in the way it relaxes us: because its name means “to wash,” it supports us in washing away the debris, physical and spiritual, of what we no longer need. This brings peace and this brings clarity: we are not bogged down by the “stuff” any more and, instead, discover freedom within ourselves. Free space. There is less worry, more openness. More ease.
Eucalyptus, also in this blend, heals worries and regrets, offering peace. It brings new energy to a situation, allowing Gemini to see with new eyes past illusions or blockages in their emotional and spiritual lives, as well as clears the mind of negativity. A plant with a high water content, eucalyptus also embodies the energy of a soothing, flowing ocean, promoting calmness and ease.
Blue chamomile in this blend strengthens Gemini’s natural affinity for communication, its blueish hue empowering the throat chakra, encouraging Gemini to share his voice through words, writing, energy, or other media.
Lastly, one drop of peppermint completes this blend, offering a gentle stimulation for Gemini’s quick mind. But this is not a stimulant; instead, peppermint promotes clarity, mental alertness, and positive action and creativity. How it works
